Sell Yourself on You

Spread the love

You have been writing for years and you feel like no one is giving you the opportunity to flourish. You have been finding and completing collaborations with what you consider small masterpieces but when you introduce them to the public, you get no response. Sometimes you want to quit, sometimes you wonder what you are doing and why and sometimes you are frustrated by the massive amount of information you don’t know or need to know to break through. I often see individuals go through these same scenarios and many times they are looking for validation or acceptance. This makes me think about what a typical student in high school searches for and before long, they graduate from high school, discover who they are and start caring less and less about what others say. This is because they have evolved to discover who they are or they find themselves. This often happens when they go away to college or join the military because they are left to themselves to discover.

Our musical journey is very similar. Many of you are still in the adolescence of your music, searching for someone to tell you your music is good and accepted. Others stand on what your music is and what it represents. No matter where you are in the journey, always believe in you. Each day you rise, speak positive affirmations over yourself and your journey. Believe in your music, compare yourself to no one and sell yourself on who you are and what you want to become. In this you are setting the course for positive juice and opportunity to find you.
